How do I get a Tax Exempt Receipt (TER)?

SimplyGiving is not a tax exempted entity so we do not issue Tax Exemption Receipts (TER). 

Except for Hong Kong, TER are issued by the beneficiary of your donations if they are tax-exempted. For donors from Hong Kong, you will receive a tax receipt email from SimplyGiving.

We do collect information on behalf of charities in other countries so that they are able to issue the tax receipts to you directly. The information we collect on the charities' behalf are your ID number and address. 

You may reach out to your beneficiary to check if they are tax exempted. Not all charities have this status.
