What is an IC number (on Tax Exemption Receipt forms)?

Support Team -

Have you noticed an IC field in a TER form on SimplyGiving.com? This stands for Identity Card - so the IC number is a unique identity number used in Singapore and Malaysia to uniquely identify people.

In this case - an IC number is required for tax purposes to enable the donor to legitimately claim the tax benefit of their generous deed!

Don't worry - you can remove the IC field from your donation form!

Nonprofits can configure their TER settings from the Charity Dashboard and choose what fields to display or hide if you are in a different country, like Hong Kong, for instance.

Here's a video run through of the dashboard.
