Why is there a 5% fee on top of my donation?

This is called DonorPays!

To help keep SimplyGiving going, we charge a service fee of 5%. This service fee will go to maintaining and improving our technology and services as well as help us help more people make a difference.

At the donation page, we give donors like you an option to top up and pay the fees on behalf of the Beneficiary, ensuring that the Beneficiary receives full benefit of your intended donation.

If you do not want to pay the fees on behalf of the Beneficiary, un-tick the option below at the donation page and the Beneficiary will bear the costs instead:
