How do I make a donation on SimplyGiving.com?

It is quick, safe and easy to make a donation on SimplyGiving.com via PayPal. All you need is a valid bank card (or a PayPal account)!

You can donate in one of the following ways:

1. To a fundraising page: If you have been invited to support a friend's fundraising page, they will likely have given you a specific web address to take you to the right page. If not, you can search for your friend's name in the 'Search' bar on the homepage and scroll down to find them in the 'Fundraisers' section. Once you find your friend's page, simply click 'Donate now' and follow the steps!

2. Directly to a cause page: You may be intending to make a direct donation to your favourite nonprofit. You can search for the name of the charity in our 'Search' bar on the homepage - this will take you to their cause page where you can click 'Donate to us' and follow the steps. If you don't know which charity you might like to support, you can click on 'Find a charity or cause' in the footer at the very bottom of the homepage, which enables you to search by country and category. Again, once you have found your preferred nonprofit, simply select them to visit their cause page and click on 'Donate to us'.

3. To an event or campaign page: You may wish to make a donation to a specific charity event or campaign. If you have been given the web address by the charity, this will take you to the right event page to make your donation - simply click on 'Donate to this event'. If you don't have the web page address, you can search for the name of the event in our 'Search' bar, select the correct page and click on 'Donate to this event'. If you're not sure of the event name, but you know the charity, you can search for the charity's name in the 'Search' bar on the homepage, click through to their cause page, scroll down to 'Current fundraising events & campaigns' and click on the thumbnail of the event you're looking for. Then simply click on 'Donate to this event'.

Hot tip: If you are an employee of a corporate registered on SimplyGiving.com looking for the right page to make your donation, type in the name of your company in the 'Search' bar on the homepage, select your corporate and you will be taken to your company's profile page. You can navigate from here to a company fundraising page or event page to make your donation. (It is probably best to check with your charity liaison team which page you should be making your donation to before you start - they will be able to give you the exact address.)
